Revlon was founded in 1932 by Charles Revson, his brother Joseph and chemist Charles Lachman joining the resources of each one of them and creating a unique product. The beauty products firm debuted in the market using pigments instead of dyes and creating opaque nail makeup tones. In just five years, the firm began selling to department stores and pharmacies. In 1940 Revlon became a multi-million dollar company and began adding a more complete make-up line. Currently Revlon is a cosmetics company that stands out for its cosmetic products for skin care and also for its hairdressing and perfume products.
