Thierry Hermès founded his workshop for bridles and forged harnesses for the transport industry in 1828 in the Parisian Grands Boulevards neighborhood. In 1880 his son, Charles-Emile, inherited the factory and expanded the business to saddles. Years later, his two sons Adolphe and Émile-Maurice took control of the company and they obtained the license to start using zippers on many of their leather goods and also started designing garments. In 1935 they presented one of their fetish items, the Hermès carré handkerchiefs made of Chinese silk. Years later, in 1950 the house created its famous logo of the horse carriage and began selling its products with the classic orange box that we know today as the Concentre d'Orange Verte perfume. During the 60s they continued with the manufacture of handkerchiefs, accessories and bags. One of them was named Kelly Bag in honor of Grace Kelly. In 1974 they presented their first perfume, Amazone, currently we find a great variety of Hermès perfumes, among which we highlight Caleche or Terre d'Hermes
