Don Algodón, a very youthful fashion line, was founded in the 1980s in Madrid by José Barroso, and 50% of Cortefiel was acquired in 1985. From then on, it began to expand internationally. Since 2006 it belongs to the American firm Max Azria. The line of perfumes Don Algodón, with aromas and lines focused on a young audience, is developed by Myrurgia, a perfume company based in Catalonia.
