YVES SAINT LAURENT
The founder of Yves Saint Laurent was born in 1936 in Oran, Algeria, he studied in Paris, where he graduated in modern languages. He started working for Christian Dior in 1955, after winning a design contest for the International Wool Secretariat. Saint Laurent became a designer of haute couture when Dior died in 1957. In his first collection for Dior in 1958 he introduced the trapeze dress. And finally, in 1962 he opened his own sewing house, financed by Pierre Berge. In 1985, Yves received the award of Knight of the Legion of Honor from French President François Mitterand. He also received an Oscar for fashion as Best Dressmaker. In the summer of 1996, he was the first couturier to show his haute couture show live on the Internet. Yves Saint Laurent is also part of the Gucci Group. It was not until 1964 that he launched his first perfume called "Y". In 1971, two more creations called "Rive Gauche" dedicated to women and on the other hand, "YSL Pour Homme" were released. In 1978, she launched her own makeup line with the excuse that "she needed a face to the woman she saw". On the other hand, one of the most successful perfumes launched in 1981 called "Kourus" that evoked the essence of ancient Greece. The license to manufacture perfumes of the Yves Saint Laurent brand belongs to YSL Beaute since 2000.
